Scandinavian Society for Prehistoric Art
Is a non-profit and independent association with the purpose of increase the knowledge of and promote future research and cooperation in Scandinavan prehistoric art through documentation, exhibits, courses, education in documentation technique and publishing activity.
Is an international organisation led by a board with representatives from Denmark, Norway and Sweden.
Publishes
The annual publication ADORANTEN, which is an international magazine introducing recent Rock Art research, interpretations and literary reviews.
The periodical DOCUMENTATION AND REGISTRATION, which carries presentations of results from documentation projects.

Annual meeting:
The annual meeting of the Scandinavian Society of Prehistoric Art will be held at the Tanum Museum of Rock Carvings in Underslös. The agenda will be in accordance with the statutes.
